Hair Care Guide

Everything you need to keep your wigs, extensions, and frontals looking flawless — from first install to long-term maintenance.

Washing Your Hair

Wash your extensions or wig every 7–10 wears, or when product buildup becomes noticeable. Always use sulfate-free shampoo to preserve the hair's natural moisture barrier and prevent stripping of cuticles.

Detangle gently with a wide-tooth comb before washing — start from the ends and work upward. Wash in a downward motion, never in circular motions, to prevent tangling. Rinse thoroughly with cool or lukewarm water.

Conditioning & Deep Treatments

Apply a quality leave-in conditioner after every wash. For deep conditioning, apply a protein or moisture mask once every two weeks, focusing on the mid-lengths and ends. Leave on for 15–30 minutes under a plastic cap for best penetration.

Avoid applying conditioner directly to the lace or weft — this can loosen bonds and cause shedding over time.

Drying

Air-drying is always the safest option and extends the life of your hair. If you must blow-dry, use a cool or low-heat setting with a heat protectant spray. Pat — never rub — with a microfiber towel to remove excess water.

Heat Styling

Our 100% virgin human hair handles heat beautifully, but protection is key. Always apply a thermal protectant before using flat irons, curling wands, or hot rollers. Keep temperatures between 300°F–350°F for everyday styling; only go higher for short passes on stubborn textures.

Avoid clamping in one spot for too long — smooth, continuous passes give the best results without heat damage.

Nighttime Care

Wrap your wig or install in a silk or satin scarf before bed. If you wear a lace front overnight, pineapple your hair loosely at the crown with a silk scrunchie. Sleep on a silk pillowcase as a backup layer of protection.

For units you remove nightly, store them on a wig stand to preserve shape, or in a silk bag if traveling.

Maintaining Your Lace

Clean your lace frontal or closure with rubbing alcohol on a cotton pad to remove adhesive residue. Be extremely gentle — HD lace tears easily. Let the lace air-dry completely before your next install.

If you use got2b or similar temporary adhesives, dissolve with warm water before attempting to remove. Never pull lace off your skin — this damages both the lace and your hairline.

Coloring & Chemical Treatments

Our virgin hair accepts color, bleach, and perms. However, we strongly recommend professional application for anything beyond a temporary rinse. Strand-test before committing. Once hair is chemically processed, increase your conditioning frequency accordingly.
